Today Sucked

whiny baby
poop on toy dinosaur
I wasted my mommy time screwing up and then fixing a pair of pants
went out to lunch with friends, B got finger squished in freezer door, really hurt, very sad
both girls cried/screamed the entire ride home
spent all of B's nap trying to get E to sleep
E threw up on my bed
etc ...

Pants

I have been totally enjoying using fabric from my precious stash to make pants. I've been cutting up the fabric and sort of collaging it onto the pants. One pair I made is on B in this photo. Others are in the works. Fun, fun, fun!

We went on our first family vacation last week. My in-laws gave the trip to us as a gift. We all went together to the Jersey shore. It was really, really nice, but not the weather. It was a huge flooding rain that week and so we did lots of things indoors. It was still wonderful just to be together and get away.

My parents have a river behind their house that overflowed in the storm. It washed away their brand new dock and lots of land. At least spring has finally come!

Baby Gifts

I have so many friends with new babies! Since I am working on my sewing skills, I made these appliquéd initials on a onezie for gifts. My first try at making appliqués. I like it!

The part to get used to is the sewing around the edges. Especially turning corners. But it's not too hard.

These onesies are for Ryan, A.J., Elias, Ryan (another one) & Brady. Lots of boy babies! Since I finished these ones, a Grace has been born. Back to the sewing machine I go!
